Tim’s first play A Law Unto Themselves based on his experience as a lawyer in a small town, was performed by the Invercargill Repertory Society in 2000, and later by the Methven Theatre Company. His second play Heaven Help Us! premiered in Clyde, Central Otago in 2010 and has gone on to be produced numerous times around New Zealand. Since then he has written several full-length comedies, with Gone To Seed winning Best New New Zealand Full-length Play at the Regional Theatre Awards in 2020.
Tim has also written a number of 10 minute comedies. The Reunion, The Police Interview, and Crosswords have been finalists in national competitions; while Just Looking took second place in the Playwrights Association of New Zealand 10 minute play competition in 2018. In the same year his only dramatic play My Friend George, set in WW1, was placed third in the one act category of the Playwrights Association competition.
Tim is employed by the New Zealand Police as a prosecutor. He lives in Dunedin with his wife and two children.
