Dunedin-born Patrick Spillane has had a long career as a college English and Drama teacher and faculty head. He has also trained teachers at tertiary level and written a handful of plays for teenagers which have been reprinted over two decades. His most recent script was “Op Shop Dreams” at Auckland’s Herald theatre with Auckland City Mission clients. He’s excited by the vibrancy and variety of today’s Kiwi playwrights and loves working with teenagers who are “Endlessly amusing, complex and full of the magic of potential.”
