Think of all the Fun You’ll Find in the Rubber Room

Sophie was a teacher. Just out of teacher's college. She thought she was doing well. Then one day she got reassigned to the Rubber Room (not that she knows that that is what it's called) a room where teachers are sent on full pay to do nothing. She's been here for four months. Alone. Which explains why she's gone a little batty. Then one day Sam turns up. Another teacher. A maths teacher. Awkward. As soon as they establish that neither of them really know what's going on they take to the arduous task of learning about each other—if they're going to be stuck together they may as well be friends. As their play gets more childish it becomes clearer that at least one of them is keeping a secret. One of them is keeping the other there and its not for the reasons you'd think.
