A Christmas farce about forgiveness, the end of the world and how the mule made it into the nativity.
Business is not good at the church of Andrano, Northern Sicily, and the first millennium is days away. The world is going nuts before it ends, but the Abbess has a plan. She’s hired a famous artist to paint a mural of the virgin and put Andrano back on God’s map. One problem: Francesco Pacheco has painter’s block, he just sold his wife and mule to a madman to pay his debts and his mistress is pregnant. When his wife escapes on the mule everyone turns up at Andrano – including the dreaded Butcher of Seville.
