The Boxer

One hundred years ago, in a world of cowboys and Indians, vaudeville and incredible hardship, a Kiwi boxer took on the world and won. Bob Fitzsimmons, a 62-kilo blacksmith from Timaru, followed his dreams to become the lightest man ever to win the World Heavyweight title. The Boxer tells the story of his life in a one hour vaudeville extravaganza which is filled with romance, comedy, and pugilistic prowess.

"The bigger they are, the harder they fall!" (Bob Fitzsimmons, 1897).
