Tim Bray

Tim Bray (1964-2025) graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1992 but his first job out of Auckland University was as an actor. He then added playwright, producer and director to his CV, without a science laboratory in sight. His passion for many years was writing and creating theatre for children, and his theatre company Tim Bray Productions drew large audiences annually since its inception in 1991.

As well as his numerous plays for children, Tim wrote and created solo shows for adults. As a character actor and stand-up comedian he performed at many corporate and private functions throughout the country and overseas. He also performed for schools and community events.

In 2017, Tim received The Queen's Service Medal for services to children and theatre.
