Brendon Bennetts is a teacher, writer, and occasional game-show host based in Christchurch, and has been performing improvised theatre with the The Court Jesters since 2002. His shows for children have been performed around New Zealand and Australia. He was part of the The Court Theatre’s Young Playwrights Initiative in 2010, when he wrote what turned out to be a poorly timed romantic comedy about the September earthquake. Stag Weekend, his first full-length play for grown ups (co-written with Dan Bain), was staged in 2014 as part of the The Court’s Forge season.
