Sisters Corinne and Helen run a failing Lotto & Post Shop in the small and boring town of Wishitt, while their neighbour Maggie runs the town’s equally failing General Store. If only there was some way of attracting visitors to town to drum up more business.
When a local fountain is discovered to have special wish-granting powers and a reporter from a national TV programme shows up, Wishitt is placed firmly on the New Zealand tourism map and the town and local businesses are transformed. Things seem to be on the up for Wishitt… but there’s a reason for the old adage, ‘Be careful what you wish for’.
