The play tells the story of a young Chinese girl, whose life in a small mountain village is suddenly disrupted by her mother’s illness. To buy the life-saving medicine for her mother, the girl must travel through the dark and ominous woods alone to visit the famous physician, a journey that brings her into direct confrontation with the Big Bad Wolf, the very embodiment of her fears and anxieties who tests her personal resolve and convictions.
