A short morality play, which draws a lesson on how to live: “If you learn to be still and you learn to listen, wonderful things can happen.”
The Smalls is a play for masks and puppets, working together. The puppets, notably the birds, are to be created from the laundry that is available in the launderette, and hanging sheets provide an opportunity for shadow puppetry, with a nod to the Balinese and Indonesian Wayang Kulit puppet theatre.
