A look at a Kiwi family as we revisit the characters from Roger Hall’s popular comedy Middle Age Spread, 30 years on. Colin and Elizabeth, now approaching 70, have retired to the Wairarapa and are living on a lifestyle block growing grapes. Three generations of the family gather for a few days to celebrate the New Year, when their old neighbours, Reg and Isobel, now living in Queensland, turn up unexpectedly and invite themselves to stay.
