A musical satire about our resistance to change, even if it's for the better. It tells the uncensored, fictitious story behind the 2012 change in New Zealand's Give Way rule. We follow Sophie – an idealistic young Ministry of Transport employee – who makes it her mission to do the right thing and change the country's unique and bizarre Give Way rule, knowing it would make our roads safer and improve traffic flow. But her plans come to the attention of 'The Resistance'. They believe that Sophie's rule change will destroy a much-loved tradition, upend the lives of decent, hard-working New Zealanders, and ultimately unravel the very fabric of our society. What follows is a battle between reason and inconvenience – a battle for the very soul of our nation.
A seven actor version is also available.
