Shortland Street is looking to increase its writing team, specifically dialogue writers.
There is a new 13-week mentorship programme, in Auckland, where new writers can learn the craft of writing for a serial drama and hopefully achieve sufficient success to earn a regular place on the Shortland Street roster. There will be some remuneration for the 13 weeks.
We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Elizabeth O'Connor who was Literary Manager at The Court Theatre. Elizabeth was a major lover of new writing and totally devoted to theatre. She worked closely with many playwrights and was instrumental in finding premieres for their work. We send our condolences to her family, co-workers and friends.
Playwrights Stuart Hoar and Michelanne Forster pay tribute to Elizabeth below.
