This play mixes the story dialogue of Sophocles’ Antigone with a contemporary story of teenage relationships.
Jess is sixteen and part of a close group of friends who hang out together a lot.
Her class is given the play Antigone by Sophocles to perform for a drama assessment.
At the same time, two of her group find Rebecca, a new girl from school, in a chat room saying how lonely she is, and for a joke they invent Pablo, a sexy Spaniard who befriends her.
As the situation escalates, Jess becomes more and more uncomfortable, and the story of Antigone, who gives her own life in defense of what she believes in right, comes alive to her.
Finally Jess has to choose whether to lose all she has to save Rebecca.
