Shakespeare's Powder

Hearing of a plot to blow up Parliament in 1605, the plotters’ wives try to stop their husbands’ terror act but they are being shadowed by a spy who may have other motives. The washer girls of Shakespeare’s Globe are drawn into things when they try to save the princess from being kidnapped as part of the plot, and the Bard himself is left to clear his name by writing a new play about a Scottish king. History and fiction intertwine in this large cast re-imagining of the circumstances surrounding the event which made Guy Fawkes famous.
