Hate Crimes

What do a solo mother, an Asian fee-paying student, a cocky school bully, an embittered ACC home-care worker, a flamboyantly homosexual Maori music teacher and a right-wing white supremacist have in common?

Gareth is a teenage boy who fails at everything, including suicide. His last attempt turns him into a mentally incapacitated, wheelchair bound semi-vegetable, sparking off a chain of events that overturns the lives of everyone who comes into contact with him.

With a fast-paced plot and contradictory, multi layered characters, Hate Crimes keeps the audience glued to their seat, trying to guess what the outcome to Gareth's increasingly complicated predicament will be.
