Boys and Girls at the School Silent Disco

A group of Year Six students from Ngaio Primary as they navigate heartbreak, emotional turmoil, and full out ideological warfare at their end of year silent disco. The play captures the tone children of this age tell their own stories in. The characters speak as if they are the hyper-eloquent-tragi-romantic heroes of their own inner monologue, High on the ego that comes from having all of primary school behind them, the world of Ngaio Primary may as well be that of Wall Street, or Versailles. Adults are all but non-existent, friendships are hard fought, and a minor humiliation can mean the end of the world.

Actors aged 20-25 play characters aged 9 and 10.
