Mark A. Casson has written for theatre, television and radio. In 1987 he completed the Drama and Playwriting courses at the University of Otago. His first play written was performed on stage and also produced on radio.
Since then Mark’s plays have been performed by professional theatre companies, local theatre groups, student and performing arts groups. Further work has also been produced on the radio and he has written over one hundred broadcast episodes of television.
In 1999 he established an educational resource company ActUp Ltd that produces educational playscripts for schools and training organisations. This company has twice been awarded government grants to produce scripted resources to encourage enterprise attitudes, introduce curriculum concepts and careers subjects. These educational scripts are used by teachers and young people within New Zealand and overseas.
