In a wild plan to extend their lifestyle Juliet and Bernie Bascombe buy an old house that was formerly a corset factory. But Bernie has put an accommodation ad in the paper, and a crazy assortment of people arrive, who help turn the place into an operational furniture factory. The play is a plea for comic values and a metaphor for a country still waking up and improvising a life style.
