Mahy, Margaret
Margaret Mahy has been a full time writer since 1980 and has over 100 titles published. Her work includes picture books, non-fiction, books for emergent readers, junior novels and novels for older readers. She has twice won the Carnegie Medal for 'The Haunting' (1982) and 'The Changeover' (1984) and has been the recipient of the Esther Glenn medal for children's literature four times. Margaret Mahy lives at Govenor's Bay near Christchurch.
