Heath, Michael
"Michael Heath was born in Southland in 1946. He was educated in Christchurch and worked on various newspapers and for television news. He wrote a novel 'Xerox' in 1968 and many short radio and television scripts and worked on various television documentaries for Tony Williams. Michael Heath lived in England from 1972 to 1977. 'Privacy of the Patients' was performed in Edinburgh and London and 'All Good Soldiers in the West Wind' was presented in Los Angeles in 1978. He directed 'Pieties' for Wellington's Circa Theatre in 1978. This play received a simultaneous London production at Theatrespace. Michael Heath received the 1978 ICI Writers Award. He is also a writer of film scripts. His credits include 'The Scarecrow', 'Death Warmed Up' and 'Moonrise'. "
