What does it mean to be neurotic? Why are there so many cases of it in the modern world? If we are neurotic, should we be glad? Dr Louis E. Bisch wrote about all these questions in his 1939 book, Be Glad You’re Neurotic, but is anything he had to say then still relevant to us in 2012? That’s what writer/narrator Phil Braithwaite, and director Nigel Edgecombe set out to discover in their new one-man show. Primarily designed to entertain and amuse, this show is also a probing look inside the concerns, anxieties and fears of the 21st century mind.
