James Griffin has made his living as a writer in New Zealand for almost twenty years now. He tends to view this as no mean feat. In that time he has written primarily for television, on such series as
Gloss,
Funny Business,
Citylife,
Mercy Peak, Spin Doctors and most recently
Outrageous Fortune. He has also written the plays
Serial Killers, and
Then Comes Love. James also co-wrote (with
Oscar Kightley) the feature film
Sione's Wedding, which was released in March 2006 and grossed over $4m at the New Zealand box office (the 4th highest grossing film in New Zealand for that year). James is currently Head of Development for South Pacific Pictures.
